New South Manchester CAP Centre

SMCF is excited to announce that it will be partnering with CAP (the Bradford-based 'Christian Against Poverty' charity - see here for more info) - and opening a new debt counselling centre from late April.

We are delighted that Emma Cooper will be our Centre Manager.

CAP's Chief Executive Matt Barlow will be speaking at both our Sunday services on 13th April.

CAP have recently been awarded FIRST place in the Sunday Times ‘Best Small Company to Work For’ Awards. See here for further info.

We are busily working towards 9 June which will mark the beginning of client visits and the official start of our CAP debt counselling service.  Our focus between now and 9 June will be to:

- publicise our new centre in the postcodes we are covering: M32, M33, M41, WA14 and WA15; and

- draw together a committed team of prayer and support volunteers

Anyone in need of our CAP service can call the national CAP enquiries line 0800 328 0006 in normal business hours, Mon- Fri.  You're also welcome to contact Emma in the church office (0161 865 5323) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  If it is an urgent situation, please let Emma know as soon as possible.

Our CAP Centre hours will be three days' per week, Mon-Wed, 9am - 5pm.  Client visits will occur in client homes.

More information will be posted here about the new Centre in due course. Meanwhile please contact our church office.
