LifeChurch Manchester has evolved out of what was established as Sale Baptist Church in 1877. During the 70s/80s Pastor Mike Beaumont developed links beyond the Baptist world and with the ‘Salt & Light’ church network.
South Manchester Christian Fellowship (SMCF) was formed in 1988, as the church developed its vision for church planting beyond Sale.
Andy Barclay-Watt came from Caernarfon Pentecostal Church to lead SMCF in 2003, and by God’s grace has led the church through a period of substantial growth to where we are today numbering around 500 people.
The church decided to rename as ‘LifeChurch Manchester’ in October 2009, and continues to be part of the Baptist Union and the Salt & Light network.
